Making an appointment
To make an appointment the first step is to get in touch by calling my office on 0330 223 1743 or sending an a message via the contact form click here
Once you have booked an appointment you will receive an email confirmation with the time, date, location and directions to the clinic as well as some general information about issues such as confidentiality. It is important that you acknowledge this email to secure the appointment.

If you are not quite ready to book an appointment I offer a Free 15-minute Telephone Call to discuss your concerns and clarify how I might be able to help before going ahead.

The first appointment
The first appointment is a no-obligation Initial Assessment Consultation that is designed to undertake a detailed assessment of your difficulties and goals for any further treatment sessions. At the end of the assessment consultation, you will have an opportunity to discuss the type(s) of therapy that may best suit your needs. You will also be given an estimate to the number of sessions needed so that you will be clear about the investment you are making in your health and well-being in terms of the overall cost of your therapy, and also in relation to the time and effort required to get your life back on track.

You are not obliged to make any commitment to follow-up sessions at the first appointment. In many instances, clients are happy to book some follow-up sessions at the first appointment. However, I generally encourage clients to take some time to reflect on our first meeting before committing to follow up treatment sessions. To assist with this I can provide a written summary of the assessment and treatment recommendations, and am happy to answer and questions you may have at this stage.

The no-obligation assessment consultation may help you decide if you would like to engage in therapy at this stage and whether or not I am the right therapist for you.

Follow-up treatment session
If you decide to proceed to treatment I will agree an initial set number of sessions after which your progress can be reviewed and a joint decision made on how best to proceed from there. At the start, you will be asked to sign a Therapy Agreement which details the terms and conditions of your treatment which will include things like the fee for sessions, cancellation policy, confidentiality, and how your personal data is stored and kept secure.

The Therapy Agreement does not tie you in to attending sessions in any way. You may choose to end your treatment at any time without any need to explain your reasons for doing so. However, it does ensure that you are clear about your commitment from the outset of your treatment sessions.

My cancellation policy

If you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment I request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to do so. With notice, I may be able to offer the appointment to another client. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the agreed full session fee. The full session fee is payable is required non-attendance where no notice has been received.
